Apprentice starts in 2017/18 are significantly down on the equivalent period in 2016/17

IFS research (2018) – Post 2010 spending down 8 per cent

Between 2009-10 and 2017-18, total school spending per pupil in England fell by about 8% in real terms, which compares with about 5% in Wales.
